What should I expect at my first dental visit?
On your first visit, you should expect a warm welcome from our staff. They'll invite you to finish your paperwork if you haven't yet, as well as let you know how long it'll take. Generally speaking, we'll get you back right away if all your paperwork is already done before your appointment.
You'll meet the team, including our assistants, our hygienist, and our doctor. We'll come up with a full treatment plan, let you know exactly what you need, and go over that with you before we do anything.
If you're nervous or afraid, you can expect a little bit of extra time just to make sure that you're fully comfortable before we do anything. Our staff is also really great at helping you along the way to feel a little bit less anxious. Our team is really great at that as well. Just comfort and reassurance.
If you come in with dental pain, you should definitely expect to get seen the same day. Whether we do treatment or not depends on the schedule, but you'll at least get a prescription, an appointment card, and an appointment if you come in with dental pain. We'll try to get you in the same day or the next day at the very latest.
Our goal is pain relief. Even if we just get you some numbing or a prescription, if we can get same-day treatment, even better. But we'll make sure that you leave here feeling better than when you came in.
After your appointment, we're going to make sure that you have your next appointment scheduled. And if there are any family or friends that you want to schedule as well, we are a family practice, so we like to see the whole family. But you'll leave with clear next steps and your next appointment.
Here at our office, we do a lot of training on communication, and we want to make everything as transparent as possible. You'll leave knowing exactly what to expect.
